England's Livestock Population 2011

This choropleth map illustrates livestock percentage by county on agricultural holdings in England. Cattle, pigs and sheep have been farmed for hundreds of years in this country. Livestock are bred to produce dairy products or lean meat which benefits consumers as part of their diet. The different animals have different lifecycles, however the health and welfare of all animals is a top priority for livestock farmers.
